What a Beautiful Day!

I absolutely love that the world has slowed down a little bit, for a while. Everything is quiet. As I sit on my back porch drinking my coffee, I realize I don’t hear the constant noise of the nearby interstate. The neighborhood is still and peaceful. People feel more permission to sleep-in. On a Sunday morning, people are not rushing off to church, herding their families in the car to get there on time. The churches have been closed.

For some, the churches closing may be sad. That is where they get their weekly dose of connecting to spirit. I think God is more pleased that right now, people are connecting to their families. You don’t have to go to church to be connected to spirit because spirit is the larger part of who you are. It is ever-present and always calling you. Family comes and goes.

I am just enjoying the peace, the quiet, and the serenity. Are you doing that, or are you worrying about when the stay at home orders will be lifted? Do you miss your Mani/Pedi, and being able to shop in department stores? Believe me, the world will soon be back to its fast pass hustle, and you don’t want to look back and think, “I should have taken that time to relax and enjoy.

Where is your focus? Where are you setting your vibrational energy?

I love my quiet mornings. I look forward to my mediations and connecting my vibrational energy to that of my inner being. I plug in and tune in so I can write from an inspired place. I think it is fun to take time to set my intentions for the day.

Setting intentions.

Setting intentions is not goal setting as in what I will accomplish today, what do I need to do? I’m not talking about a to-do list. I create my reality. What reality do I and today? I aim my thoughts and gauge my feeling towards that.

I woke up with the intention of a peaceful morning. My strongest desire is to connect to spirit and see the world through spirit’s eyes. It is so beautiful. When you look through the eyes of your inner being, everything is more vibrant. We had a gentle rain last night, so everything is washed clean and bright. The sky is blue. The spring trees are bright green. The air is fresh, crisp and clear. The birds are cheerful.

What is my intention for today? I have two desires. One is relaxation, and the second is fun, I will focus on the feelings of these two thoughts and prepave my day. I know I’m going to have a great day.

Relaxing:

  • I feel so calm.
  • I don’t have anything I have to do, or anywhere I must be.
  • I’ll plan an easy dinner.
  • No work until tomorrow is needed.
  • I think I’ll exercise, so my body feels good.
  • I’ll enjoy more water today, so I feel clean and refreshed.
  • Maybe I’ll take a nice long hot bubble bath and read a book.

Fun:

  • I like fun.
  • I enjoy laughing.
  • I’ll play with my dog.
  • Dom (my dog) is always happy and up for fun.
  • I’ll pull out the UNO card and play a game with the kids
  • We always have fun playing UNO.
  • I love Rachel’s laugh
  • She often laughs when we play games
  • I always feel happy when I hear her laugh.
  • I’ll have fun experiences today.
  • I’ll talk with exciting people today

My day is set in motion. My energy is feeling so good. I’m very joyful. Only two things on my plate today. Feeling relaxed and having fun.

Enjoy yours!

Love and Blessings,
Ashley J. Spurgeon
