Thriving and Joy in Uncertain Times

We are all globally thrust into uncertain times. The world changed almost overnight. Travel canceled, events canceled, schools canceled. We are faced with a new virus that we are not yet sure the complete range, depth, or effects of COVID=19. The one obvious thing is the most significant effect of this virus is fear. You see the fear evident in the stores with rows that are empty of products.

In uncertain times how can we maintain our joy?

First, by staying appreciative of the excellent health, you do have. You don’t have to listen to the news to stay abreast of what is happening. Talk is everywhere. Realistically, most people are not going to feel the worst of this virus. Stay clean, careful, and take advantage of the urges to stay closer to home. Do not needlessly expose yourself.

Turn off the news. If you surround yourself with negative information, then that is the reality you will see in your life. Do not involve yourself in the conversations of speculation.

Get plenty of rest, eat well, and get fresh air and sunshine. Taking good care of yourself is always good advice.

Look for opportunities.

In any downturn, there are new opportunities to grow and thrive. You need to have your eyes open, though. I am not talking about ways to profit from tragedy or fear—just opportunities to grow and become a better version of yourself.

You now have more time at home…

Do your spring cleaning
organize your closets
spend time bonding with your kids
Exercise
Meditate

Do any of the 100 things you used to say you did not have time to do.

I am currently finishing up one of my two books I have been working on for the last few months. It feels great to be making good progress.

Remember to be loving and kind. Stay connected to people and keep the conversations upbeat and fulfilling. Use video conferencing, your phone face time, etc. If you have downtime, then spend some time building a dream business, project, or hobby.

Remember, the most significant creation of this pandemic is the fear that has overtaken so many. Know that life is change and transformation. Do not be a giver of growth to the fear. Be a generator of peace, love, and joy. Those heal so many and creates a positive strength to the collective consciousness.

Love & Blessing,
